Healing Gardens
Be part of the healing environment at St. John’s Hospitals through a philanthropic naming opportunity in our gardens.
BRILLIANT ROSE GARDEN: Over 50 Hybrid Tea Roses welcome guests at the eastern entrance of the Hiji Family Healing Garden. Your name will be prominently displayed on a band of precast concrete pavers in front of the garden.
THE STRENGTH ENTRY: The plaza surrounding the 55-foot tall Sequoia Christmas tree features the entrance to the labyrinth and lends itself to popular event space. This area is paved with golden color stones and bands of Cambridge pavers in a curved pattern. Your name will be displayed on a lovely black basalt stone.
HOPE ALCOVE: The historical religious statues are located within a beautiful circular seating area surrounded by Giant Timber Bamboo, lily turf, and wispy grasses designed in a flowing curved linear pattern. This area faces across from the Gathering Garden Element and Discovery Falls. Your name will be displayed on a lovely black basalt stone in the garden.
BAMBOO FOREST: Prominent timber bamboo frames the area of the Circle of Life Plaza and Garden Water Element. Rich groupings of tree ferns, lily turf, wispy grasses and woody ornamental shrubs offer sheltered areas for visitors. Your name will be displayed on a lovely basalt stone in the garden.
TUMBLING WATERS OASIS: Flowering shrubs and grasses encompass a prominent wall fountain facing into the courtyard and seating area. Your name will be displayed on a lovely black basalt stone in the garden.
TEAK SEATING BENCHES: Lovely benches placed throughout the garden provide resting areas for all our visitors. The benches are made from the Teak Tree, or Tectona, one of the tropical hardwood birches included in the family Verbenaceae. Teak is especially noted for its capacity to withstand changes in weather, which makes this a perfect addition to the outdoor garden environment. Your name will be inscribed and displayed on the bench.
TEAK SEATING CHAIRS: Lovely chairs placed throughout the garden provide resting areas for all our visitors. The chairs are made from the Teak Tree, or Tectona, one of the tropical hardwood birches included in the family Verbenaceae. Teak is especially noted for its capacity to withstand changes in weather, which makes this a perfect addition to the outdoor garden environment. Your name will be inscribed and displayed on the chair.
ROSE BUSH OF TRANQUILITY: Throughout the seasons, the variety of rose bushes in the garden offer fragrant blooms with the delights of spring and abundance of summer color. Your name will be displayed on a lovely ground plaque next to your rose.
PERSONALIZED PAVERS: These precast pavers will be positioned along the healing pathway and offer a wonderful opportunity to honor your family name, memorialize a loved one or recognize a child who was born at St. John’s with their birth date. Engraving is provided with a 40-character maximum limitation on each paver.
